

Her parents, Ernest P. and Rowena E. (Clarke) Perry welcomed their daughter into the world on March 30, 1923, in Springdale, Newfoundland, Canada.
She came to the United States in 1930 becoming a US Citizen at the age of 21.
Education to Ivy was very important. She attended Keene State College where she furthered her education, finishing her bachelor's degree in English and History at the age of 50.
Ivy met her husband Taylor C. Alexander at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, and they were married shortly after the end of WWII.
She took great pride in raising her family and later in life she enjoyed watching the Patriots with a slice of Athens pizza in her hand!
Ivy is survived by two daughters, Joan Perry Whitney of Byfield, MA, Jean Taylor Alexander of Moore, OK; her son, Taylor Scott Alexander and his wife, Lynn, of Jackson, NH; five grandchildren, Catherine Bing, Alexander Whitney, Shannon Alexander, Tracey Smith, Taylor Alexander; and three great-grandchildren, Alexander Bing, Eric Bing, Tate Whitney. Four siblings predeceased her.
Funeral services and burial in the Pine Grove Cemetery, Fitzwilliam, NH, will be held privately by the family.
