She was the youngest daughter of Walter and Ruth (Purrier) Royle, and spent her whole life in the house in which she was born in.
Janice was an operator for New England Telephone and Telegraph for 40 years. She was a lifelong member of St. James Episcopal Church in Keene; and was a member of the Grange, Patrons of Husbandry. She was fiercely independent, yet dearly loved sharing family gatherings! Her long succession of individual cats provided decades of companionship. She enjoyed tending her flower beds and growing tomatoes.
Survivors include her cherished nephew, William Harper, of Keene, his children, Timothy Harper and Kathryn Papadeas, and his grandchildren Karis, Autumn and Ethan Harper, and Lillian and Joseph Papadeas. She also has a niece, Catherine Brown, and a nephew, Francis Dompier. She was predeceased by her sisters Thelma Dompier and Dorothy Harper.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at 11AM in the Monadnock View Cemetery, Park Avenue, Keene. Rev. Elsa Worth, Rector of the St. James Episcopal Church in Keene, will officiate.
