So saddened to hear of John's passing.  The last couple years he would share with me about his plantings and esp. those at BMH,  brightening coffee hour after church with our chats. Condolences to extended family and may God be your comfort at this time. ~Danielle

I am so sorry to hear of Johns death.  The Houpis Family was a big part of my growing up in Vermont. Dr. Houpis took care of all of us. One of my first jobs was taking care of Johnny one summer., then followed by working in his dad's office.. We all miss the Houpis Family. John and his family will always be in our special memories. I will never forget what Johns family meant to me and to my family.

I grew up in Brattleboro and Dr. Houpis was my doctor, and John was my friend. When I got to Yale in 1976, it was very helpful to have someone there that I knew who had been there for a while already. He was gracious with his time with me, and he introduced me to many people who went on to help me during my time there. I have been away from Brattleboro for a long time, but I will never forget what the Houpis family meant to me and to my family.

Having just been with Johnny a couple of weeks ago, I am shocked and saddened by his death.
