

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Judith P. Guyette, who left us peacefully on August 28, 2025, at the age of 85, surrounded by her family after a courageous and grace-filled battle with cancer.
Judith was born on January 30, 1940, in Keene, NH. She was the daughter of Olande C. Putney and Elizabeth E. Putney. Judy was the granddaughter of Dr. George and Ella Emerson of Fitzwilliam, NH and Charles and Maude Putney of Keene, NH. She attended Tilton Elementary School, Keene Middle School and Keene High School.
She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Glenn J. Guyette and their six children; Joe Guyette of Swanzey, Mark (Terri) Guyette of Swanzey, Barbara (Jeff) Geiss of Westmoreland, NH, Amy (Bryan) Fisk of Swanzey, Jack (Lori) Guyette of Swanzey and Ron (Melissa) Guyette of Fitzwilliam, along with 12 grandchildren; Alison (Nate) Elliott, Erin (Ryan) Patterson, Matt (Desiree) Fisk, Meghan Geiss, Brennan Geiss, Samantha Guyette, Joshua Guyette, Jeremy (Kate) Guyette, Olivia (Bailey) Rokes, Wyatt Guyette, Adam Guyette, and Robyn Guyette. There are nineteen great-grandchildren and counting. She is also survived by a sister, Deborah (David) Bean of Keene, and a brother-in-law, Paul Britton of Dallas, TX. She was predeceased by one grandson, Jason Guyette of Fitzwilliam.
Throughout her life she demonstrated an unwavering love and commitment to her family. Her family was the center of her world, and she dedicated herself to raising them with love, wisdom, and strength. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of those she nurtured and supported throughout her life.
In addition to her family, Judy had a deep passion for gardening, serving as a proud member of the Old Homestead Garden Club in a variety of roles. She spent many hours cultivating beauty in her garden, just as she did within her family, offering care, patience, and guidance. Judy was the President along with the Vice President of the Old Homestead Garden Club. She was also a member of the Rebekah Lodge in Derry NH in 1962.
Judy, and husband Glenn, made their mark in the local community as the owner and operators of Guyette’s Sales and Service, a business they ran for 30 years. Prior to establishing their business, they operated a dairy farm in Swanzey, NH. Judy was the secretary of the New England Power Equipment Association.
Judy spent her younger years coaching at the ball fields and supporting her children. Judy continued to spend her years at the ball fields watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Judy spent many years traveling with her husband Glenn which included two trips across the country.
Sunday gatherings at Glenn and Judy’s are a cherished tradition. Their family would come together to share snacks and sweets, mostly M&Ms, laughter and love. She enjoyed summer days at the cottage on Forest Lake in Winchester, NH. Snow filled days were spent up north in Pittsburg, NH where they would visit with friends, play cards and ride the trails.
Judy’s devotion to her family and her beautiful, unyielding, loving and patient soul will be greatly missed by her husband, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, September 4, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00pm at the Fletcher Funeral Home, 33 Marlboro Street, Keene. A funeral service will be held on Friday at 10:00am at the Fletcher Funeral Home. Burial with committal prayers will follow the service in the Westport Cemetery, Westport, NH.
