

He was born in Keene, NH, January 13, 1946, the son of Clare and Claire (Croteau) MacKenzie. A lifelong resident of Marlborough, Mr. MacKenzie was a 1964 graduate of Marlborough High School and attended the University of New Hampshire.
He was a Marine Corps veteran serving during the Vietnam War.
Mr. MacKenzie worked for 38 years with Filtrine Manufacturing in Harrisville, NH and now in Keene. At the time of his death, he was the service manager with Filtrine Manufacturing.
He enjoyed playing softball, participating in the Greater Keene Men’s Softball Association League for many years. He also enjoyed playing basketball in an area men’s league, bowling in the Filtrine bowling league, and was an overall New England sports teams fan. He was well known as a “jack-of-all-trades”. He loved the outdoors, and enjoyed working in his vegetable garden.
Mr. MacKenzie is survived by his wife of 38 years, Sandra L. (Graves) MacKenzie of Marlborough, three daughters, Marcie L. MacKenzie and her husband, Christopher Giles, of Jaffrey, NH, Jennie L. MacKenzie and her partner, John Christopher, of Weymouth, Mass., Mollie L. MacKenzie of Jamaica Plain, Mass., three grandchildren, Abigail Giles, Samuel Giles, Emily Christopher, a brother, Raymond C. MacKenzie and his wife Kazue, of Marlborough, his mother-in-law, Elinor Kiniry of Walpole, NH, and several nieces and nephews and cousins.
A graveside service with military honors will be held Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at 11:00 AM in the Pine Grove Cemetery, Granite Street, Marlborough. Rev. Donna Gage will officiate. Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday evening, September 20, 2011, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Foley Funeral Home, 49 Court Street, Keene, NH.
