He was born in Nelson on March 18, 1930, the son of William “Harry” and Florence (Bridge) Frazier. His mother died when he was young, his father remarried and Edith (Pearl) Frazier became Leonard’s mother.
He lived in the area his entire life and married Marion Weston on November 12, 1950 at the Chapel By The Lake in Munsonville.
As a teen, he worked for the towns of Munsonville and Nelson. He worked the majority of his life at Markem as a machinist and retired from there in 1992 after working there for 34 years.
Mr. Frazier was an active member of the community. He was a 4H Leader for 35 years and active in setting up the food booth at the Cheshire Fair every summer. He was also a founding member of the Fire Department as the Traffic Controller. For years, he taught others how to use the town’s first fire truck.
Both Mr. Frazier and his wife have been active members of the Chapel By The Lake for many years. During the chapel’s most challenging times, they were there to make sure its doors remained open.
He was well respected, loved, known in, and supportive of the community.
He enjoyed fishing and ice fishing, especially at Lake Winnipesaukee, as well as hunting and trapping. He also enjoyed snowmobiling as a member of the Sulivan Snowmobile Club and often took part in fundraisers for Cedarcrest.
Mr. Frazier coached little league baseball earlier in his life and was an avid fan of the Boston Bruins, as well as the Red Sox and Patriots.
His family remembers him as a strong man, dedicated, goal oriented, family oriented and also protective of his family. He was generous to those truly in need and considered to be a “straight shooter”.
