Lillian Minnie Grover

She was born in Keene on February 15, 1923, the daughter of Mandana M. (Hodgkins) Lovern and Harry S. Kent, Sr.

On October 4, 1941 she married Robert R. Grover in Westport Village.

Lillian was an ambitious woman whom at a young age was the owner and operator of the Westport General Store. Later, she and her husband became the proprietors of the Winchester House in Winchester, NH.

Creating a wonderful life for her family, Lillian provided many memories for several generations at Forest Lake in Winchester. She enjoyed camping and her yearly visits to Wells, ME with her friend, Anna. She traveled to many destinations with senior groups and on bus tours. Lillian was a devoted parishioner to the Westport Church and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW.

Lillian will be greatly missed by her siblings: Jean Guyette of Keene, Mary Dubois of Swanzey, Bob Kent of Cape Coral, FL, and Joanne Pappas of Swanzey; daughter-in-law: Loretta Grover of Swanzey; grandchildren: Robert L. Grover of Swanzey and Corinne L Will and her husband James of Swanzey; great grandchildren: Cassandra Thornton and her husband Aaron of Swanzey, Rhyan Will of Swanzey, Kurtis Will of Winchester, Kimberly Will of Swanzey, Joshuah Grover of Swanzey, Jacob Grover of Brattleboro, VT, Alaina Grover of Winchester, and Benjamin Grover of Keene; great great grandchildren: Christian D. LaValley, Logan B. Thornton, Angel M. Teeter, Liam K. Thornton, and Anthony J. Teeter. She was predeceased by her loving husband Robert R. Grover, and her son Elmond G. Grover.

Family and friends are invited to call at Fletcher Funeral Home, 33 Marlboro Street, Keene, NH on Friday, January 27, 2017 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. A funeral service will be held Saturday, January 28, 2017 at 11:00 am at the Funeral Home. A private burial will take place in the spring at Westport Cemetery in Swanzey, NH.
