

She was born May 15, 1940, in Newport, VT, the daughter of Leona Petty and James Murphy. She grew up in Ludlow, VT and attended Ludlow grade school and high school in Marlborough, NH.
On July 2, 1960, she married Robert A. Harper. Together they celebrated nearly 45 years of marriage before his death on February 20, 2005.
Lois was employed by Yankee Magazine as an Administrative Secretary. She was an active member in the Ladies Group at the Federated Church of Marlborough and participated in aquatics program at Langdon Place of Keene. Lois was well known for her sense of humor and her love of travelling and camping as well as card games and dominos. She was also very addicted to her TV shows and her slot games.
She is survived by one daughter: Trudy Harper of Keene, NH; one son: Richard A. Harper and his wife Rene of Windsor, CA; two sisters: Winnie Bussiere and her husband Jerry of Swanzey, NH, and Laura Webber of Marlborough, NH; one sister-in-law: Elaine (Harper) Royce of Keene, NH; two brothers-in-law: Allen Harper and his wife Cheryl of Gilsum NH and Leonard Dangle of Rochester NH; three honorary grand children: Matthew Rouleau and Ali and Avril Ashcraft; Two honorary daughters: Heather Greeley of Swanzey NH and Susan Foster of Keene NH; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members who will miss her greatly.
She is predeceased by her husband: Robert A. Harper; sister: Dorothy Daigle; brother: James Murphy; and brothers-in-law: Bernard Webber and William Royce.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Marlborough Community House, 160 Main Street, Marlborough, NH, on Saturday, July 30, 2016 beginning at 11:00 am.
