Michael Laurence Beatini

He was born in Jersey City, New Jersey, July 21, 1949, the son of Michael Carlo and Doris (Scacchetti) Beatini. He grew up in Dumont, NJ, attending local schools.

He later attended Clark University and also completed computer programming courses. Mr. Beatini resided in several areas around the country, working as a self-employed computer programmer.

He moved to the area in 1980 where he was a member of the Keene Chess Club. He enjoyed reading scientific books. He also had a special love for music, especially the blues and classical music. He enjoyed playing the classical guitar and built his own viola da gamba.

He is survived by two brothers, Thomas P. Beatini and his partner, Jeff Pickett, of Hackensack, NJ, Mark J. Beatini and his wife, Diane of Montvale, NJ; a sister, Nanda Beatini and her husband, Helge Falck-Jorgensen of Washington Township, NJ; a sister-in-law, Susan M. Beatini of Park Ridge, NJ; three nieces; one nephew; and his longtime friend, Barbara D. Reed, of North Swanzey. He was predeceased by a brother, Paul F. Beatini who died during the 9/11 attack in New York City.

Funeral services will be private. There are no public calling hours.
