The kind and gentle soul of Randall E. “Randy” Bemis 72, of Cross Street and a lifelong resident of Keene, NH, will be greatly missed with his passing on Thursday, April 4, 2019 at the Cheshire Medical Center/ Dartmouth Hitchcock, Keene.
His Parents, Bessie M. (Dodge) and Donald M. Bemis, Sr. welcomed their son into the world on December 7, 1946, in Keene, NH. He was the youngest of ten children.
Randy worked with CHESCO through the Monadnock Developmental Services in Keene for ten years. He took great joy in the many simple pleasures of life, like going for car rides especially to Kimball’s in Jaffrey, the Yankee Candle Company, and he also loved attending parades. He enjoyed collecting cars and tractors and anything that made lots of noises. Family gatherings brought Randy so much joy. He saw the good in everyone by shaking their hands and asking their names. He was loved by all that met him. He was a gentleman in the true sense of the word.
Randy will be missed by many, especially his brothers and sisters, John F. Bemis of Keene, David F. Bemis of Keene, Marilyn McKeage of Concord, NH; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his brothers and sisters, George K. Bemis, Sr., Donald M. Bemis, Jr., Lawrence E. Bemis, James E. Bemis, Sr. and Elinor F. Bemis. Special thanks to Karen Hassanein for her caring and support over the years.
A gathering and celebration of Randy’s life will be held on Wednesday, April 17th from 11am to 2pm at The Salvation Army, 15 Roxbury Plaza, Keene. A prayer service will be held at 11am.
In lieu of flowers, for those who wish, donations may be made in Randy’s memory to the Salvation Army, 15 Roxbury Plaza, Keene, NH 03431.
