

Robert, the son of the late Henry and Eveline (Oram) Ross was born in Newmarket, NH on December 8th, 1919.
He married Cecile Arlene Labranche of Newmarket, NH, his wife of 69 years, on April 11th 1942. She passed away on September 20th, 2011.
In April of 1944 he enlisted in the United States Navy and completed Basic Engineering School at Gulfport Mississippi after which he served as Fireman First Class during world was II on the submarine USS Dace. After his service he was awarded the World War II Victory medal and American Area Ribbon. He was honorably discharged on January 28th, 1946.
Upon his return from the service he worked for Smith Shoe Company and after completing his degree in accounting he worked as an accountant for Davidson Rubber Company until his retirement in 1982.
Upon his retirement he and his wife Cecile moved to Dade City, Florida where they enjoyed golfing, trips to Disney World and especially going to Big Band concerts at Bush Gardens.
He is survived by his five children Terrie Keating and her husband, Tom, of Barrington, NH; Robert H. Ross and his wife, Judy, of Keene, NH; Elaine Starkey and her husband, Doug, of Eliot, Maine; Linda Pineo of Dade City, Florida; William Ross of Grover City, California; 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. He will be missed but remembered by all who knew him.
Private burial services will be held for Cecile and Robert in the spring at Calvary Cemetery in Newmarket, NH.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to Bentley Commons, 197 Water Street, Keene NH 03431.
Foley Funeral Home of Keene, is assisting the family with arrangement.
