Born in Beverly, MA to Benjamin Frederick and Bertha (Murray) Smith, he grew up in Whalom, MA and attended the Fitchburg school system.
Ronnie was a United States Navy veteran who served aboard the USS Marias A057 and USS Eversole DD789 from 1945-1949.
He worked as a self-employed automotive equipment salesman for nearly fifty years. He was much sought after and appreciated for his knowledge and honesty by many in the business throughout all of New England.
His passion for automobiles, hunting, fishing, and gardening was nothing short of phenomenal to behold.
He is survived by three sons, Jeffrey A. of Spofford, NH, Christopher A. of Easthampton, MA, Gary F. of South Deerfield, MA, a daughter-in-law Tina L. of Easthampton, MA and a cousin, Betty Murray of Nova Scotia, Canada. He is predeceased by his wife of 56 years Marguerite Mary (Marinello) in 2007 and a brother Frederick Murray who passed away in 1995.
Funeral services and burial will be private.
