

Sybil Helene Dorner, 87, of Keene, New Hampshire, formerly of Tamarac, Florida and Newport, R.I., died peacefully at her home, Bentley Commons at Keene, with family and friends at her side on January 13, 2013.
Sybil was born in Newport, R.I. on October 29, 1925, daughter of Alfred and Anna (Cramer) Gamins. She graduated from Rogers High School in Newport and married Richard C. Dorner of Paterson, New Jersey. Together they successfully managed a family business in Newport before moving to Florida. Richard predeceased her in April of 2012 after 64 years of marriage.
Family includes her son, Bruce Dorner and his wife, Nancy, of Londonderry, NH; her daughter, Ellen Ostreicher of Rindge, NH; four grandchildren, Arica Ostreicher, Justen Ostreicher, Sarah Dorner and Andrew Dorner, and a great-grandson, Chance Meller. She leaves two sisters, Bernice Schweber of Newport, R.I. and Norma Wise of Bethesda, MD.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, January 16th, at 1:30 PM, at the Manchester Hebrew Cemetery in Manchester, New Hampshire. Rabbi John Spira-Savett of Temple Beth Abraham, Nashua, will officiate. Memorial observance (Shiva) will be held at the home of Bruce and Nancy Dorner at 7:30PM on Wednesday and Thursday evening.
The family wishes to express heartfelt appreciation to Sybil’s “Bentley Family” for the love and care they provided during her residence and illness. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Health Service Department, Bentley Commons at Keene, 197 Water St., Keene, NH 03431.
