

He was born in Plattsburg, NY on March 18, 1961, the son of Margaret I. (Sawyer) and Fred M. Hobbs, Jr.
A lifelong resident of Keene, Mr. Hobbs worked in maintenance for many years with several area companies including G.S. Precision of Keene, and also at St. Joseph Regional School in Keene.
He was a hard worker, holding several jobs at one time. He took great pride in his work and dedicate himself to always ensuring that everything was in order. He was an avid fisherman. He also enjoyed walking the family dog, Bella. His favorite pastime was time spent with his family.
He is survived by his wife of four years, Christine L. Croteau of Keene; his children, Chelsey, Nicole, Damian, Daniel, Ashton and Hallie; six grandchildren; his brothers, Fred “Teddy” Hobbs, III and his wife, Nellie, of Eden, NC, Robert Hobbs and his wife, Darlene, of Walpole, NH, Benjamin Hobbs and his wife, Joanne, of Winchester, NH, Bryon Hobbs and his wife, Carol, of Keene; his sister, Cindy Livengood and her husband, Neil, of North Swanzey, NH; his mother-in-law, Primrose Croteau, of Swanzey, NH; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Stanley C. Hobbs and a sister, Patricia Anne Hobbs.
A celebration of Mr. Hobb’s life will be held Sunday, August 2, 2015, from 2:00 to 4:00PM at the Foley Funeral Home, 49 Court Street, Keene, followed by a prayer service at the funeral home at 4:00PM. Deacon Kenneth J. Swymer will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Mr. Hobbs’ memory to the Kingsbury Center for Cancer Care, 580 Court Street, Keene, NH 03431.
