Aurora Bantaculo Hamic was born in Baybay, Leyte in the Philippines October 20, 1950. She passed away in Dallas, Texas on February 11, 2022, at 71 years old. Aurora lived in Mansfield with her partner Charlie whom she shared the last 12 years years of her life. She is survived by her her sons Mondo, Napoleon, and Chris, daughter Christina, and granddaughters Madison and Kimora as well as her many friends and extended family.
Aurora was kind to everyone she met. Her laugh and smile lit up every room. Emigrating to the United States in 1978 she became a citizen in 2005. An accomplishment she worked hard for and was very proud of. She had many passions including gardening, crocheting, bowling, and sewing. She loved making handmade gifts and cooking for her family and friends. If you ever received any of these handmade treasures or her homemade food, know that was her way of demonstrating her love. Aurora had one of the biggest hearts. Throughout her life she was continuously helping others and sending clothing and donations to her family back in the Philippines. She was a loving mother, a dear friend to many, and a wonderful Lola. She will be dearly missed.
