Carole Lenolda Groves

Carole Lenolda Groves, of Haslet, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, in Lake Worth, Texas. She will always be remembered as a loving mother, wife, and friend to all who knew and loved her.

Carole was born on February 3, 1947, in Warren, Minnesota, to Lenold and Daisy Peterson. She married Dale Groves on July 20, 1968. Carole devoted many years to staying home while her children and grandchildren were young, always ensuring they were cared for and nurtured with love. Throughout her life, she also worked various jobs, contributing her time and talents wherever she was needed.

A devoted Lutheran, Carole was very active in the Lutheran church throughout her life, where her faith guided her actions and relationships. She loved to travel, cook, and read, and she was known for being a very creative and skilled crafter.

Carole is survived by her husband, Dale Groves of Haslet, Texas; her son, Gary Groves of Longmont, Colorado; her daughter, Shanna Morris of Haslet, Texas; and her cherished grandchildren, Elyse Groves and Calla Morris.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 26, 2026, at Keller’s Old Town Funeral Home, 220 Keller Parkway, Keller, Texas 76248. A reception and lunch will follow the service. Interment of ashes will take place at DFW National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, Texas 75211.
