Dan lived life passionately. He loved his family beyond words. Dan accomplished many things over the years. He was an Ironman triathlete. He was a Coach. When he put his mind to something, watch out. Dan loved to help people. He received a lot of help and guidance in life and he gave it back in every way he could. If there was something he could do for you, he would. Dan’s wit was like none other. It was as if he knew what you were going to say before you said it and he had a snappy comeback to make everyone around him laugh. SO much laughter. His illness did not hold him down. He fought hard until the end and we will never forget the strength and bravery he possessed.

Personal note: I chose the Patient Financial Assistance fund at UT Southwestern because I cannot say enough about the treatment we received there. To say it was exceptional, does not cut it. We were fortunate to have great insurance, but there are so many out there that are not so fortunate. Dan and I spoke often about how blessed we felt and he wished we could help those who could not afford the best care possible.
With Love, Lisa
A memorial service will be held in early 2020. Details will be posted when available.
