David Gordon Goodwyn

David Gordon Goodwyn, 53 of Ft. Worth Texas passed away on the morning of November 28 2021. He was a loving husband, father to two daughters, one son, two step daughters and grandfather to one grandson. David was born in Longview Texas on January 18 1968 to Jack Ray Goodwyn and Ella McKinley Goodwyn. He graduated from Longview High School and attended the University Texas @ Austin obtaining a degree in Accounting in 1990. David was employed the majority of his life with American Airlines. He was a sports enthusiast... that included Baseball, Basketball, Football, Tennis and Golf. He would rather listen to sports radio than music! His passion was his time spent with his wife Melody, their children, relatives and their beloved dog Riley. David had a wonderful smile, an infectious laugh and a really big heart! He always found the best in everyone he encountered and David will live in our hearts forever! Survivors: Wife, Melody Goodywn of Fort Worth Texas. Maddie Goodwyn, daughter of Houston Texas, Kendall Goodwyn, daughter of Fort Worth Texas, Jack Goodwyn, son of Fort Worth Texas. Jordan and Jason Hutson step-daughter and husband of Raleigh North Carolina and Becca Smith step-daughter of Fort Worth Texas and grandson Ben Benitez of Fort Worth Texas along with Riley the dog. Mother, Eloise Goodwyn of Longview Texas. Jo Ann Bourgeois (aunt) of Longview Texas. Needa Reed (aunt) and family of Port Arthur Texas. Sister, Cindy Hartke of Ector Texas and her children Justin Shannon and family of Dodd City Texas, Graham Shannon of Richmond Texas. Brother, Tom and Ann Goodwyn of LaQuinta California and their children Kyle and Sarah Goodwyn of Fort Worth Texas, Megan Goodwyn of Grapevine Texas and Matthew Goodwyn of Mankato Minnesota. Following the celebration of life, will be a committal service at 3:30 PM at Rosewood Park Mausoleum, 1884 FM 1844, Longview, TX 75605. David will be available for viewing, 8-10am on Tuesday morning, December 7,2021 at the funeral home.
