JoAnn Chiechi
17 December, 1941 – 22 January, 2023

On Sunday, Janurary 22, 2023, Jo Ann Chiechi, loving Nama, mother and wife, passed away peacefully at her daughters home while on hospice at the age of 81. Jo Ann grew up in Northern California and told many a story of special times she shared with family on their farm growing up with her 5 older brothers and sisters, learning how to sheer sheep, milk cows and goats, ride horses, as well as always helping out her beloved mother Josephine do any cooking along the way. She also loved spending time with her father William at the racetrack as he would train horses and visit with his jockeys. Jo Ann was an advid reader and lover of knowledge and spent many a day reading feverishly her favorite novels for hours. She was a go-getter in her day and always enjoyed entertaining with friends and family, never missing a time to have some fun.She had a knack for making everyone feel at home and like they were family, all were always welcome and the saying the more the merrier was definitely her moto. She also enjoyed golfing with her favorite golf friends and all the laughs that would entail as well. She traveled the world and had great adventures along the way with her husband Nick by her side. She fiercely loved her grandkids and would speak highly of them to anyone who would listen, beaming ear to ear as she did so.
Jo Ann was best known for her quick-witted humor, fierce determination, generous spirit and fiesty nature even up until her time of passing. She thouroughly entertained and kept her hospice nurses on their toes with her sassy smiles til the very end for which each loved. She will be very much missed by all who loved and knew her. Forever in our hearts she shall be. She is survived by her husband, Nick of St. Marie, Montana; daughter Michelle and son-in-law Don of Southlake, Texas and their sons, Brent, Connor and Devin; son Mark and daughter-in-law Heidi of Eureka, Utah and their children Dustin and Kinzley; stepson Loren and wife Sue of Flower Mound, Texas and their children Miranda and Christopher and step daughter Cheryl of San Diego, California. An inurnment service will be held lakeside on Saturday, March 18, 2023, 11 am at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park in Colleyville, Texas followed by a Rememberance Reception luncheon afterwards at the The Aydon Family home in Southlake.
