Quan Van Tran Trinh, age 93, of Haslet, Texas passed away on Monday, June 19, 2023. A visitation for Quan will be held Wednesday, June 28, 2023 from 12:30 PM to 7:00 PM at Keller's Old Town Funeral Home, 220 Keller Pkwy, Keller, TX. Prayers/chants will occur Thursday, June 29, 2023 at 8:30 AM. A burial service Thursday, June 29, 2023 at 10:30 AM at Bluebonnet Hills Cemetery, Colleyville, TX. Quan Van Tran Trinh was a husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend to many. He lived a fulfilling and challenging life. He was born on October 10, 1929, during the Great Depression. During his teen years, he lived through France's occupations of Vietnam and WWII with Japan, followed closely by the Vietnam War. On April 30, 1977, he would then make the dangerous 11-day journey to leave his homeland in search of a better life for his family. He survived nine months in Song Kha, Thailand refugee camp, where he was eventually sponsored to come to the USA. He and his family arrived in Austin, TX, on February 11, 1978, and stayed in Texas until the end. He was a fighter and a survivor from the moment he was born to the last of his days.
