Alice Rosamund Colcott Barr

Alice was born in Birtle, Manitoba on September 23, 1938 to her parents Thomas Matthew Colcott Smith and Beatrice Whittaker. Alice was raised along with her brother Matthew Smith on her parent’s farm in Foxwarren, MB until she left for Brandon, MB where she soon met her husband, Norman Herbert Barr.

Alice married our dad on February 11, 1956 and soon started a family of five children. She was a fantastic and wonderful Mom who was fiercely dedicated to her children.

Alice is survived by all of her children, Gordon Barr, Karen Tashiro, Lorraine Williams, Shaun Barr and Errol Barr. She was Grandma GG to thirteen grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. She loved us all.

She was predeceased by her husband, parents, brother, and two grandchildren.

Mom’s life was her FAMILY, which brought her and gave us so much joy and wonderful memories. All that knew our mom would say she loved to have a good visit and a couple of laughs so please honor her by recalling a memory of her that brings a smile to your face or a good laugh!
