Audrey Alfrieda Agnes Andres passed away July 20, 2017 at the age of 88 years. She married Irwin Andres August 12, 1948. The happy couple lived on the farm. Daughter Bette was born June 16, 1949, son Richard born January 29, 1951, son Jeffrey born November 9, 1955. They had a café in Roblin until 1952 then loaded up their 1/2 ton GMC truck and left for Copper Mountain, BC. The trip was very interesting with a two year old and a baby, but they made it okay. When living in Upper Red Eagle, they built up muscles pulling the sled up hill to get home. From there on to Red Lake, out of Kamloops, logging, then on to Princeton where Audrey was a car lot attendant, moved back to Copper Mountain, and stayed until 1957 then on to Kelowna. In Kelowna Audrey worked picking vegetables, fruit, worked in the meat market, waitress, packing house, box factory and Crown Plywood Plant. Pastimes were spent playing on the Copper Mountain ball team, and Audrey was picked for the professional team but had to refuse to take care of three children. We lived in Rutland, Hwy 33 at Franklyn Road, and Glenmore Road and retired in 1980 to Holiday Park in Winfield. The family travelled for twelve years. Irwin passed away in September 1999 and Audrey continued with her activities of curling, badminton, bowling and playing golf.
