Basil William Thorne

Basil passed away peacefully on January 10, 2015 at Sun Pointe Village in Kelowna at the age of 88. He is lovingly remembered by his 4 daughters: Lesley (Doug), Christina (Mike), Diane (Kevin), Vivien (Paul), 8 grandchildren; Lee, Michael (Christa), Robert, Andrew (Tawnya), James (Chrissie), Sarah (Chris), Danielle (Cory), Christopher (Alison), and 3 great grandchildren.

Basil was predeceased by his wife Eileen, whom moved together to Canada in 1988 from England. Daughters Vivian, Leslie, and their families soon followed. Dad will be remembered for his strength of spirit; determination, positive outlook, sense of adventure, and above all else his love of family. Those who knew him will miss the twinkle in his eye, his stories and his wit. “We love you Dad.”

A special thanks to Sun Pointe Village, in particular Reid’s Community. Dad couldn’t have spent his last days in a better place.
