Bruce George Hadfield was born in Kelowna BC on October 13, 1939 and he died in Kelowna on October 20, 2025. Bruce was predeceased by his Father Fred Hadfield, Mother Maude Hadfield and Sister Clarice Clement. He is survived by his wife Margaret Hadfield, brother in law Jim Simpson, sister in law Carlene Simpson, as well as nephews and nieces. Bruce lived his entire life in Kelowna, graduating from KSS in 1959. He worked first at SunRype - then at the City of Kelowna for 33 years.
Bruce met the love of his life Margaret in 1983, and they were married in 1984.
One of the defining times of Bruce’s life was during the 1970’s when he began to search for answers to some of life’s big questions. His search took him to many different churches. He then found a tract left in his door by Jehovah’s Witnesses. This small article made him want to know more and he attended his first meeting at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, where he recognized the ring of truth. After a study of the Bible, he dedicated his life to Jehovah and got baptized in1973.
Bruce was very well known for his outgoing personality, his friendliness, jokes and riddles! He loved meeting new people and he could strike up a conversation with anyone, anywhere. He was always friendly, and would often share his love for the Bible’s hope and his love for his God Jehovah.
There are many that Bruce considered friends, including many that felt like family to Bruce.
Bruce and Margaret spent many hours enjoying both Okanagan, and Shuswap Lakes. Bruce kept himself very busy with his love for cooking and gardening. He had a great imagination and writing stories was one of his favorite pastimes.
Bruce’s faith gave him a wonderful hope for the future. We look forward to the Bible’s promise of the time very soon when Bruce will be resurrected back to life in perfect health here on earth. Memorial arrangements to be determined.
