

Christian (“Chris”) McBeth Hansen was born in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, on August 3, 1935, to Chris and Violet Hanson. His father, Chris, was born in Skive, Denmark. His mother, Violet, was born in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan.
Chris grew up in Prince Albert and spent many summers at Waskesiu Lake, Saskatchewan where he first learned to golf and caddy as a young man. A lifelong lover of golf, Chris took his clubs wherever life led him.
He attended the University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon, earning his degree in Civil Engineering. He moved to Niagara Falls, Ontario, where he worked as a civil engineer and later established his own construction company.
Chris leaves behind his children, Brenda and Blair; his sister, Barbara L. Hansen-Comba; nieces - Carrie King, Lynda Stevenson, and Kate Stevenson; and nephew - Kelly Stevenson.
The family extends their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Kelowna General Hospital and The Vineyards Care Home for their kind and compassionate care during the past few years of Chris’s life and in his passing.
Chris was a very friendly, social guy and will be remembered fondly by his family, those who helped in his care and all who knew him.
