Born on September 3, 1933, in Saskatchewan, Clara built a life rooted in love, family, and simple joys. She spent most of her years in New Westminster, British Columbia, before moving to the Okanagan in 2018, where she continued to cherish time with her family.
Clara had a passion for sports, a good steak, but her greatest happiness was found in the company of her family. She loved cooking for those she cared about and took great joy in feeding her family, always making sure no one left hungry. She also had a special gift for crafts, lovingly creating handmade items for those she loved—each one a reflection of her generosity and thoughtfulness. Clara was always there with a listening ear and a kind heart; someone you could turn to whenever you needed to talk. To her family, she was truly the most amazing person.
Her great-grandchildren, Makena and Mia, were the light of her life and brought her endless pride and joy.
She will be lovingly remembered by her son Shane; daughter-in-law Liz; grandchildren Andrea (Mark) and Brandon; and her cherished great-grandchildren Makena and Mia. Clara is also survived by her sisters, Lorraine and Luella.
Clara’s warmth, creativity, strength, and deep love for her family will be dearly missed and forever remembered.
