In loving memory of CORNELIUS MICHAEL PYNE,a generous and loving Father and Husband. Corny passed away August 8, 2018 surrounded by loved ones in White Rock, BC. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 68years Carolina (nee Solvason). He is survived by his sister Margaret Horner: his four children; Rayana Dancer(Marvin), Judith Zilke (Ed), Susan Pyne, Stefan Pyne (Sara). His grandchildren: Paul Bale (Flavia), Sara Bale, Tonya Cote, Sean Cote (Tihana), Elysia Pyne, & Danica David. Great grandchildren: Dylan Bale, Chloe Murphy, Skyla and Lawson Cote, Belle and Omri David and great-great grandson, Chase Murphy. He is also survived by many beloved nieces and nephews.
Dad’s great loves were his wife Carolina and his family. He was very generous to his family and friends and provided for his family after his passing. Corny was a career Army Officer (Maj.) with the P.P.CL.I.
He was a Veteran of WW2.He did two tours of duty in Germany. He also served two tours of duty with UN
Peacekeepers in the Middle East and in Panmunjom, Korea. After his military career Dad worked for D.V.A. and retired as the Head of their Counseling Department in Vancouver. Corny and Carolina shared a love of golf and were members of both Marine Drive in Vancouver and Kelowna Springs Golf Clubs. A Catholic Service was held at St. Charles Garnier Parish, Kelowna on Friday August 17, 2018. Interment was held Saturday August 18 at Kelowna Memorial Cemetery.
