With broken hearts, we announce the passing of Daniel Messent, a deeply loved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend; a bright light in the lives of all who knew him. Daniel left us far too soon on June 27th, 2025, at the age of 22.
Daniel was the embodiment of kindness, warmth, and thoughtfulness. He had a gentle soul, always ready with a smile or a laugh, and an open heart for those in need. Whether it was sharing a quiet moment with a friend or offering a hand to someone struggling, Daniel’s generous spirit touched everyone around him.
A natural artist, Daniel expressed himself beautifully through drawing, often capturing the world as he saw it—full of depth, detail, and wonder. He was a passionate reader and a lover of history, especially historic architecture, which he sought out during his travels. Exploring historic cities, wandering through centuries-old buildings, and marveling at their craftsmanship brought him deep joy and inspiration. His knowledge and interest in different cultures and countries was immense.
He loved photography, often taking his beloved dog Chelsea for hikes in the forest, taking beautiful photos of nature.
Daniel’s truly happy place was the ski hill. There, among the snow-covered slopes, he came alive—his incredible talent, passion, and dedication evident in every turn and trick. Whether filming his friends, coaching younger skiers, or simply carving his way down the mountain, Daniel shone brightly. His enthusiasm was infectious, his encouragement unwavering.
To know Daniel was to love him. His kindness, humility, patience and laughter left a lasting imprint on the hearts of many. He was always willing to help, to lift others up, and to share in the joy of the moment.
Though his time with us was far too brief, the impact he made will never fade. Daniel will live on in our hearts, in our stories, in the laughter we shared, and in the snow-covered hills he loved so dearly.
Rest in peace, our sweet boy.
You are forever loved.
Forever missed.
Forever remembered.
Forever in our hearts.
