Fay Rosemarie Lindner

Fay Rosemarie Lindner was born on February 13, 1936, and passed away on September 1, 2026, at the age of 90. A resident of Kelowna, British Columbia, Fay will be remembered with deep respect and enduring affection.

Throughout a long and well-lived life, Fay carried herself with a steady sense of perspective and discernment, offering the kind of thoughtful presence that leaves a lasting impression. At the same time, there was an unmistakable spirit of curiosity and readiness for new horizons—qualities that could be felt in the way Fay embraced the world and the people in it.

Fay found joy in travel and hiking, and took quiet satisfaction in gardening. Time spent playing bridge, cooking, and singing reflected both attentiveness and warmth, while a love of music and a love of sports, highlighting the Roughriders, Blue Jays and Canucks spoke to a wide-ranging appreciation for life’s rhythms—whether found in a favourite song, a shared game, or a lively conversation.

Fay also gave time in service to others, volunteering at the 1988 Calgary Olympics—an experience that reflected a willingness to step forward, contribute, and be part of something larger than oneself. In keeping with that same sense of purpose, Fay started the Girls High School gym program, leaving behind a practical and meaningful legacy that supported others for years to come.

Fay is survived by sister Sharon, and nieces and nephews Curt, Kent, Coralee, Dana, Tammy, Leagh, Milayna, Jeff, and Lindsay. Fay was predeceased by three sisters Lois, Joyce, and Dee; brothers-in-law Rick and Lloyd; and nephews Ray and Brad.
