Robert Graham Kirkman, Change his name to Robert in honour of his father Robert. I never met his mother but they called her Biney.  

I guess because of the uncertainty of where life leads us Graham and I were never really close or knew each other. Our most common bond is his father , my uncle Robert Kirkman. I am trying to remember Graham with some old news clippings of his father from the  World War One years.

I am Graham's first cousin. I meet him when he moved to Toronto, from England when I was 4 years old. He lived with us for a few days. I loved it. He was fun and read me comic books. I next saw him many years later (1990's) in Kelowna where he was owner of a commercial soap store. He polished my fathers RCMP ring and we hoped to get together again. I was posted to  the Chilliwack RCMP from 1991 to 2002. At least five time in those years the dispatchers left me a message saying your cousin Graham said hi he was just passing through. I never did see or talk to him again. He hadn't left a return number.  I retired in 2014 and learned of his passing. I can't find the words to express my own pain and sadness that we never were able to connect and have a real relationship. He was in contact with my mother who passed the same year as he did. RIP
