Isabel MacPherson

MacPherson: Isabel. Isabel (Bell) MacPherson left this life to be with her Lord on September 8, 2015 at the age of 90. She will be desperately missed by husband of 68 years George Wallace and five sons Glenn (Veronica) of Kelowna, Robert (Donna) of Parksville, Daniel (Bonnie) of Newbrook, AB, Timothy of Kelowna and Murray (deceased). She is remembered with love by many grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces. Bell was born in Wales in 1924 and immigrated to Wetaskiwin, Alberta 1929. She was raised on a family farm for 17 years and schooled in a Lutheran Day School. Bell joined the Royal Canadian Air Force in September 1943 and met future husband Wally during the war. They were married in Calgary and first son Glenn was born 1948. Many travels with the Air Force followed with sons being born in Greenwood, Nova Scotia (Murray and Robert), 2 Wing, France (Daniel), and Cold Lake, Alberta (Timothy). The MacPherson’s retired in 1970 to Edmonton and finally in Kelowna 1988. A Memorial Service will be held in First Lutheran Church, 4091 Lakeshore Road, September 26 at 1030 AM to celebrate her faith in our Lord Jesus Christ. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to her church First Lutheran on Lakeshore Road. The family also wishes to thank the palliative care staff at Hospice House for their extraordinary caring attention to our Mother in her short battle with cancer.
