Janet leaves behind husband Monte Harris, son Jeff, daughter Lori, her four cherished grandchildren Dakota, Daniel, Victoria, Emma, siblings Frank, Lyle, and Ellen and former husband Bob. Janet was predeceased by sister Lynne. Janet fought an eleven year breast cancer battle with courage, an indomitable spirit and her unique sense of humor. Janet was born in Vancouver but lived the majority of her life in Kelowna. She worked as a member of the office staff at Kelowna Golf and Country Club. She also worked as an Assistant to Kelowna Member of Parliament Werner Schmidt and later in life started her own bookkeeping business. She volunteered for a number of organizations including Project Literacy, Abbeyfield House, and the Rutland Hospital Auxiliary Thrift Store. Janet loved sports, both playing and watching. She never missed a Canucks or Blue Jays game and attended a number of PGA Tournaments. We would like to thank Dr. Imrie for her wonderful care and counsel for so many years as well as the doctors and nurses at KGH and Kelowna Hospice House who were so compassionate and helpful in making Janet's last months more comfortable. Per Janet's wishes there will be no service.
