Born in Vancouver, Jo-Anne met her husband of 54 years, Joe, before moving to Kelowna in 1974 to raise their children Corey, Lindsay, and Kevin. She is also survived by her sister, Susan Peel, Aunt Francis and Uncle Ralph Sackerman, as well as numerous in-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews, grand nieces and nephews.
Jo-Anne was the heart of the family, defined by her unwavering love and support. Her devotion to them was a force like no other. She possessed a distinct and infectious laugh that could easily ring through a room, effortlessly turning strangers into life-long friends.
Jo-Anne found joy in simple pleasures – a good book, home-cooked meals, meandering walks, warm sunshine, and travel with Joe. Ever the homemaker, she had a sharp eye for detail and was not without opinion.
She leaves behind a legacy of love that will be cherished by all that knew her.
Honouring Jo-Anne‘s wishes there will be no service. She would wish you to celebrate her life by enjoying a good glass of wine and a hardy laugh.
In lieu of flowers Jo-Anne’s favourite charity was the Salvation Army.
