Miss you so much Joan.! You are one of the most beautiful Godly people I ever knew.  So Caring,  Wholesome. and Joyful!  You are definitely one of God's Angels!  I will speak for my mom as well as I know she mentioned to me how much she enjoyed her time with  you and your husband Ron.  Hope to see you in the rapture Joan!

Joan another year marks the date of sad loss for myself and I am sure your family and friends.  You were like an ANGEL that was sent to Earth to do God's work.  Your beautiful smile, presence and Godly kindness towards others, the sick  and the healthy, encompassed who you were.  I believe life is a journey and as your life started off not so easy you were so blessed along the way and walked and talked with the Lord throughout it.  The Lord carried you through and you Shared your faith with others and that was one of the most beautiful gifts you could have gave. I think of you so often Joan.  I just enjoyed being with you.  I met your husband Don when I was with my mom (who was dealing with vascular dementia) while we were shopping.  Don also seemed like a wonderful Godly man and I am sure he deeply misses you!  I hope to see you one day Joan in the Rapport and until then,  enjoy that beautiful place called Heaven where you truly see Christ and all the wonders in heaven!

Joan and myself were friends since we were  10 years old.
I met her at a conference.  
We married and both of us lived on the North Shore
She moved to Langley then Prince George and then Kelowna
I moved to Kelowna so we saw each other and went to Kelowna
Bible Chapel.  I moved to Vancouver Island and for years we talked
on the  phone every week,  emailed each other.   And now we wait
to see each other again in Heaven.

So saddened to hear of Joan's passing.  She was such a lovely lady.  There are no words that will ease the pain of her passing.  Your care and devotion to her over the last year was a tribute to your love.

We had a lot of fun and fellowship with bible studies at her home.
She was the most hospitable person, beautiful spirit and just a lovely person and friend all around. I will miss her greatly and remember the good times we had. My  deepest condolences .

So sorry to hear of Joan’s passing.  I remember her as a gentle, quiet, generous, patient, and happy Christian woman.  My earlier memories of Joan go back to her days in Deep Cove living on Parkside Lane.  Her little home was often packed to the walls hosting after church get togethers and sings.  Such a happy memory! I also babysat the kids for Ron & Joan; recalling her cool, calm, laid-back manner when it came to my descriptions of the mischievous antics of the children. We were also so grateful for the big jars of leftover soup she shared with us, from the deli where she worked. These are just a few of many memories from the early days.  May the Lord be near each of you, giving you hope, comfort and deep peace at this difficult time.  Love Yvonne

We are saddened by Joan's passing.  I have memories of when I was a very little boy of visits from Ron and Joan. She was a wonderful lady who loved her family. More importantly, she loved The Lord.

We are deeply saddened by this news. We met Joan when she’s doing her hospital visitation that time, we’re not from Kelowna and was sent thru an air ambulance because the place where we live (Fort Nelson) doesn’t do deliveries, I’m way too early to be full term so we stayed for 5 weeks in the hospital. She’s a constant companion and every time she visits us, it is just but full of stories of our lives and God’s  goodness. We became friends even after coming back home. We got her to be one of Lois’s godmother for her dedication. Our constant email, telephone calls until fb messages by the time she got an account, as well as her thoughtful cards and gifts for Lois during special occasions, sums up how a lovely soul she really is. We are honoured to have met such an amazing lady. We are sad that our little Lois’s will not be able to see Aunty Joan anymore, but we are comforted with the fact that she’s now reaping the fruits of her labor with our creator. Our sincerest condolences to Ron and the whole family. She will be terribly missed. We love you Aunty Joan! ❤️

Dear brother Ron,
We would like to express our deepest sympathy at the loss of your dear wife.  After suffering with declining health,  the Lord in His grace, has taken Joan home at last,   Naturally, it is a time for grief, but in our spirit we can also rejoice, knowing this is not the end, and we will be united with loved ones again.  May the Lord Jesus give you and your family His perfect peace.
