John Anthony Reddick

John set sail from England to Canada in 1958 where he met the love of his life, Brenda, for sixty one and a half years. They settled in Toronto and raised three wonderful children, Gayle, Stephen and Christine in “The Beaches”, where Brenda had been born and raised.

John enjoyed a thirty one year career with Ontario Blue Cross where he quickly rose through the ranks to management and directorship. He had tremendous leadership skills and mentored many from all walks of life.

Upon his retirement in 1995, they “set sail” for Westbank, BC where they remained.

John will be remembered for his unconditional love of family, humanity, friendships, sense of humour, and ability to tell stories where he was the punchline. John had an immense passion for music, sailing, and hearing other people’s stories.

John was the beloved husband of Brenda, father of Gayle (Zinour), Stephen (Maryna) and Christine (Jeff), grampa/papa to Greisha, Sasha, Madeleine, Genevieve and Virginia, and uncle to Janine, David, Terri and Danny. John also leaves behind countless friends and extended family. He will be deeply missed by all whose life he touched.

A Memorial Service will be held Thursday August 5, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at First Memorial Funeral Services (1211 Sutherland Avenue, Kelowna, BC).
