I too was so sorry to hear of Kirk’s passing. Just reading these memories shows how consistent our feelings were of Kirk. A talented, no nonsense and thoughtful friend that we had the pleasure of having in our lives. Wait for us old friend and we will play again. Thank you Heather for taking such good care of him.

I was so sorry to hear of Kirk's recent passing. I know that he will  be sorely missed by his loved ones Heather, Marie and family.  It was great to re-connect with Kirk these past few months, catching up, sharing some memories and laughs. It was like time stood still. He  blew me away with his positive outlook and unbelievable courage. As kids, Groover was the king of giving everyone nicknames,  sharing whatever he had and always rising to the occasion with his extraordinary musical talent. We're all better for knowing him. My deepest condolences on the passing of Kirk . Kirk showed me my first bar chord on the guitar , in our first band back in Ottawa South at the age of 14.
Kirk even back then was always his own man , a straight shooter , as he continued to be his entire life. We've had over the years , although so many miles apart , the opportunity to jam again with our friends whenever we had the chance to get together . And whenever we did it was like we were back in Ottawa, and 14 yrs old again.
Kirk , although you have passed you will live forever in memories.......

From Kids living on the same street Carlyle Ave in Old Ottawa South to being introduced for the first time to a real guitar player. To jamming together in our teens and has young adults. It was a pleasure to know you and hang out with you has a friend. You will be missed . Where ever are now keep playing and writing music.

  I remember Kirk well from a time when we were all growing up in Old Ottawa South.  Kirk was a true free spirit who had the ability to make anyone around him laugh with his unique wit and charm.
