

Lenard Frederick Peacock passed in peace and dignity Thursday January 8, 2026. He joins his beloved wife Bertha (Berty) and is survived by his only daughter Virginia and several nieces and nephews. Born in Sudbury Ontario June 26th, 1933, Lenny lived an adventurous life as a Waterfront Longshoreman Supervisor on the Pacific Coast from California to British Columbia. With a passion for horse racing, Lenny and Berty travelled far and wide as shared owners of Torlago, who eventually ran in the Kentucky Derby.
Len made the most of retirement enjoying the golfing life at their lovely home in Gallagher’s Terrace in Kelowna BC until Berty passed away suddenly on January 1, 2017. He has since taken life easy at the Vineyard’s Residences Senior Care bolstered by the excellent care and friendship of Leeanne Lehman of Brightstar Companions. The family wishes to thank all the staff at The Vineyard's Residence for their compassion and care of Len.
A small service will be held at First Memorial Funeral Services on Thursday January 15, 2026 at 12:30 p.m. Interment of ashes for Lenny and Berty will take place at Lakeview Memorial Gardens Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. directly following the service.
