Leona lived with independence, compassion, and a deep commitment to caring for others. For many decades, she devoted herself to caring for elderly individuals with dignity, kindness, and genuine companionship. During the last 15 years of her life, she also dedicated countless hours to preparing and serving meals while building meaningful relationships with members of Kelowna's homeless community.
Helping others wasn't something Leona talked about—it was simply how she lived. She quietly gave her time, energy, and compassion to people who needed it most, leaving a lasting impact on many lives.
Leona is lovingly remembered by her son, Ryan; her daughter, Angela; her sisters, Noreen and Gloria; her six grandsons, Keith, Ken, Jacob, Tyson, Aiden, and Landon; her granddaughter, Jennifer; and her two great-grandchildren, Emersen and Max.
In keeping with Leona's wishes, there will be no funeral service. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Details will be shared through the funeral home's obituary page once arrangements have been finalized.
The family extends its sincere gratitude to everyone who shared in Leona's life and to those who showed her kindness and friendship over the years. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered."
