Linda was born on April 14, 1951, in New Westminster, British Columbia, to the late Julie and Floyd Racher. Exceptional in her beauty, sharp wit, and profound generosity, Linda spent her life working selflessly to provide a beautiful and joyful life for her family. She carried an enterprising spirit throughout her working career, rising to become a manager at the Abbotsford News, later working in the service industry in various capacities. Linda was known for her deeply giving nature, always finding ways to bring extra joy to her children and grandchildren, and standing up for those in need.
She possessed a sometimes quiet but often outspoken, brave, and adventurous heart. Linda treasured spending time with family and friends, embraced the simple joys of the outdoors, and deeply loved the beauty of her home province—especially the Fraser Valley, Okanagan, and Similkameen.
Linda was predeceased by her parents, Julie and Floyd; her long-time second husband, Reinhard Gerhard Otten; her brother, Wilfred; and her sisters, Joy and June.
She will be lovingly remembered and cherished by her children, Tamara (Mark), Candra, and Wesly (Allison); her beloved twin brother, Lenard Racher; her younger brother Melvin, her older sister Jean, and her grandchildren, Kaylee, Kassidy, Brayden, and Alexandra; as well as her expected great-grandson.
In accordance with her wishes, Linda will return to Princeton, BC, where she spent precious time in her youth. A private scattering of her ashes and the placement of a memorial plaque will take place at the Princeton Cemetery alongside her beloved family members.
