She was welcomed to this world by her mother (Kathleen) and her father (Bob). Lori was the oldest of 3 girls. Her sister Sherri (Kelly) and her sister Dawn (Matt). Lori and Calvin met when they were 19 and 22 and married not long after. Lori and Calvin have been married for 45 years and together for 47 years. In those 45 years married they were so grateful to welcome their daughter Shana and their son Nick. They were lucky enough to become grandparents very young and to welcome their first granddaughter Micayla (Chad) who then went on to have their first great-granddaughter Madeline.
Lori and Calvin raised Micayla ever since she was a baby, she was their third child to them. They were also lucky enough to have the same closeness with their next two grandchildren Ryan and Taylee. They have been so lucky to have so many grandchildren to love (Micayla, Ryan, Taylee, Ben, Grace, Bailey, Lily, Alex). Lori loved fiercely. She worked roughly 14 years at Canadian tire as an assistant manager. She then spent 23 Years working at Kelowna General Hospital as a Unit Clerk before retiring in 2024.
Working at KGH she developed so many life long and cherished friendships. Lori will be missed for her jokes, her smile that lit up any room, the way her eyes twinkled. Lori will be missed for her laugh and her sarcasm but also, she will be missed for her hugs, which if you knew Lori those were rare but when she gave you one, they made you feel so warm and special. Lori gave the best advice, and she told you exactly what you needed to hear even if you didn’t like it. Lori was who she was, she was unapologetically herself.
Lori has gone from this world too soon and she will be a huge missing piece for so many. But her memory will live on in her family and friends who will never ever forget her. We love you grandma, more than anything. To infinite and beyond. Xoxo
We will be having a celebration of life as that is what Lori wished for. Her celebration of life will be held Saturday October 25th at the Milestones in Kelowna. It will be held from 1pm to 4pm in the private heated patio. Snacks and beverages will be provided. Please come with stories and love to share about Lori.
