She graduated from Spring Valley High School in 1985 and married her husband, Jerry Herrmann, on February 15, 1992.
Lori was a deeply loving, kind, and grounded presence whose steady strength held her family together. Her greatest love and lifelong passion was riding her horse - a bond that brought her peace, joy, and a deep sense of connection. She also had a deep love for animals and shared her life with many beloved pets over the years. Lori had a strong sense of adventure and a love for travel, having visited many places around the world, with Thailand holding a special and cherished place in her heart. She shared an extraordinary and inseparable bond with her twin sister, Nikki - her soulmate, closest companion, and favorite person in the world. Bingo was one of her favorite pastimes, and her signature phrase, "Winner, winner, chicken dinner," brought smiles to all who knew her. She also cherished playing cards with her family on Sundays - moments filled with laughter, connection, and love. Lori was the rock of her family - a beautiful soul whose grace, empathy, and unwavering love will be remembered always.
Lori is survived by her husband, Jerry Herrmann; her son, Nicolaas; her mothers, Jacqueline Nielson and Linda van der Mey; and her sisters, Nikki, Tammy, Michelle, and Tracey. She was a loving aunt to her nieces and nephews, all of whom she cherished deeply.
