It is with love, sadness that we announce the passing of Margaret Casavant at 88 years in Kelowna after a courageous battle with Lewy-Body Dementia. Margaret was born in Nottingham, England in 1923 and moved to Canada as a war bride in 1944. She worked on her homestead in Fort Assiniboine and in Edmonton at the city hall after leaving her homestead until she married Rod. They then moved to Grande Prairie where she worked in the tax department at the city hall and at the optometrist shop in Grande Prairie until her retirement. Margaret was predeceased by her husband Rod and daughter Linda Williamson. She is survived by her children Linton (Judy) Davidson, Kaye Davidson (Clarence Breitkreutz); Gary (Evelyn) Davidson, Brian (Ali) Davidson, Janet Davidson (Terry Ellis), David (Amy) Casavant, son-in-law Ron Williamson and her nineteen grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren. She had a way of making her children and many grandchildren all feel special. She will be fondly remembered by so many who were touched by her work ethic, generosity and sense of humour. A Memorial Service to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, March 10th at 3:30 p.m. at Park Memorial Chapel, 9709-111th Avenue, Edmonton. Interment to follow at Beachmont Cemetery.
