Mom was born February 2, 1935 in Port Alice BC. She met and married the love of her life Bob on May 6, 1955. They then chose to move to Port Alberni to raise their family. Mom and dad set down roots in Cherry Creek where mom excelled at being a stay at home mom. There was always fresh cookies and bread ready when we got home from school. Mom loved gardening, baking, knitting her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a part of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Cherry Creek Fire Department while Dad was a volunteer fireman. Mom and Dad started a small business called Grampas Cradles and Crafts. They travelled to a few craft fairs and enjoyed meeting people. Dad did all the cutting and mom did all the painting.
The family would like to thank moms Dr and the nurses and care aides from Lake Country Lodge in Kelowna that cared for mom until the end. We are all very appreciative.
Mom will be remembered and extremely missed by her family. Mom will be back with now with dad. No service will be held.
