Janie: I was so saddened to hear about Mark's passing, and I haven't seen you for so many years. When I would ask Linda about you and your family, she would tell me about his many struggles and challenges, but more importantly she shared with me what a remarkable man, husband and father he was. From afar, I admired his great strength and courage in living his best life with you always by his side. Please know that my thoughts are with you and your kids. I know you will take care of each other with support and love.

Dear Janie...please know how sorry I was to hear of Mark's passing. He was a good man. A good partner. And a good friend to all who knew him but more importantly he was a good dad to Miles and Kenzie. Although we lost close contact over the years you were never far away in our thoughts. I have fond memories of the first time we met at St Paul's Hospital where Mark and I were star pupils in the prenatal class. We became instant friends and the boys were forever linked with the same birthday. Please accept my heartfelt condolences. Mark will be missed. All our love.

I think of Mark every Monday at noon hour hockey.  We had great chemistry - he was a smooth hockey player and a gentleman. Our Saturday breakfasts and our golf games were very enjoyable and too few in number.  He talked about his family and, though I have never met any of them, I know they are all wonderful people who will miss a great guy.  My prayers are with you all.

I knew Mark through his big brother, a very close friend of mine. Mark was always a happy, smiling soul; his genuineness shone through with his friends and his close relationships with his brothers was always apparent.

To Greg, Kirk, Dean and Vicki, Janie and family: I am so saddened to hear of Mark's passing. Knowing there are so many friends who share in your grief may help ease your pain.
