Nettie Paziuk

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Nettie Paziuk, who passed away peacefully at the age of 98 in Kelowna, British Columbia, with her family by her side.

Nettie will be lovingly remembered by her children, Terry (Linda) and Ardeth (Brian); daughter-in-law Judy; and her siblings, Harry, Fran and Vickie.

She was a cherished grandmother to Steven (Jessica), Jamieson (Juliette), Matthew, Meaghan (Mac) and Davis (Rachel); great-grandchildren Ella and Emile; and many nieces and nephews.

Nettie was predeceased by her son Bruce, as well as her siblings Bill Mayden, John Mayden, Lina Josej, Stella Tataryn and Mary Babiuk.

Nettie was born in Hazeldell, Saskatchewan, on May 7, 1928. After leaving the family farm, she made a brief stop in Winnipeg before heading west to Kamloops, British Columbia, where she raised her three children. In 1968, Nettie settled in Kelowna, the community she would call home for many years to come.

Throughout her working years, Nettie worked as a cosmetician at Shoppers Drug Mart and London Drugs. Above all else, family was at the heart of Nettie’s life. She treasured the time she spent with her children and grandchildren and took great joy in being surrounded by those she loved.

Our family would like to extend our sincere thanks to Dr. Larry Bobyn, the staff at Chartwell Chatsworth Residence, and the staff of Peach Trail at Brandt’s Creek Mews for the care and support they provided to Nettie.

A service will be held on Friday, September 18, at 11:00 a.m. at Valleyview Funeral Home in Kelowna, British Columbia.
