Samuel Kaiser was born in Reid Hill, Alberta on August 20, 1935 to Molly and Alexander Kaiser. He was the fourth of 9 children and all his siblings had a special place in his heart. Sam grew up on a farm where he learned the value of hard work and had a natural gift for being a handyman. He married his wife, Marilyn (Luft) in 1954 and together they raised their two daughters, Leslie and Terry, in Calgary.
Sam worked as an appliance repair technician for Sears Canada for 26 years. He retired from Sears but not from helping, repairing, and fixing things for anyone who asked. Sam and his wife, Marilyn, moved to Kelowna in 2006. He always enjoyed spending time in his garden, where almost anything would grow under his care.
Sam was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was a man of deep Christian faith, which guided how he lived and cared for those around him. He was a steady and strong pillar of support for his family. Although he was a man of few words, he always had a positive attitude and was someone you could always count on for wisdom, encouragement and sound advice.
He is reunited in peace with his beloved wife, Marilyn (June 25, 2025) and his cherished daughter, Terry (February 26, 2025). He is lovingly remembered by his daughter, Leslie (John); his son-in-law, Jeroen; his brother Leo (Diana); his five grandchildren, Carolyn, Paul (Adriana), Nicole (David), Peter, and Robert; and his two great grandchildren, Ana and John.
He will be deeply missed, but the strength of his character remains a blessing to all who knew him, and his joyful memory will be carried in our hearts.
