She met and married the love of her life, Stefano Panucci, in 1952. Nine months later, they had their first child, Domenico, four years after their second child, Teresa was born.
In 1958, they moved to France, where they had their third child, Gino. 1961 brought them back to Italy where they had their fourth child, Joe.
In 1963, the whole family moved to Canada and that is where she resided and lived the remainder of her life happily.
