Taylor was a proud father, loving son, brother, uncle, and friend. Above all else, he loved his family with his whole heart. His greatest pride and joy were his children, Jayden and Amaya. Through them, his love and legacy will live on.
At the age of 18, Taylor left his hometown of Selkirk, Manitoba, and moved to Calgary, Alberta, where he began the next chapter of his life. In 2009, he welcomed his son, Jayden Aaron, and ten years later, his daughter, Amaya May, completed his family. Taylor began his career in framing and later spent time in the oilfield as a pipefitter apprentice, but he was ultimately drawn back to his true passion—framing and carpentry. He took immense pride in his craftsmanship, valued quality work, and was always willing to lend a helping hand.
One of Taylor’s greatest passions was music. He had a remarkable ability to connect songs with people, memories, and moments in life. His playlists were more than just collections of songs—they were pieces of his heart and a reflection of the people and experiences throughout his life.
Taylor also loved sketching graffiti art, skateboarding, video games, and woodworking. A true ’90s kid, he grew up enjoying comedies like The Simpsons and South Park. He loved cooking meals at home but never passed up the chance to enjoy a great burger at a favourite restaurant. Taylor also enjoyed watching football, a past time that began with his uncle Wade.
Nature was one of Taylor’s greatest sources of peace. Whether he was hiking, chopping wood, spending time on the water, or simply being outdoors, he found comfort and solace in the natural world. His beloved dogs, Moka and Rocco, were faithful companions through many of those moments and brought him endless love, loyalty, and joy.
He will be remembered for his smiley eyes, his generous heart, and his deep love for his family and his beloved dogs. He was known for his quick wit, infectious sense of humour, and his ability to make everyone around him laugh. He found joy in life’s simple moments and treasured spending time with those he loved.
Taylor leaves behind his son, Jayden (mother Jessi); his daughter, Amaya (mother Robin); his parents, Leslie and Dale; his sisters, Dayna (Kerm) and Lauren (James); his nieces and nephew, Claire, Tia, and Cruz, and a nephew-to-be; his grandmother, Beverly Samborski; along with many uncles, aunts, cousins, cherished friends, and all those whose lives were touched by his kindness, humour, and generous spirit.
Taylor was predeceased by his beloved grandparents, Jens and Ruth Magnusson, and his Grandpa Alex Samborski. We take comfort in knowing they welcomed him home with open arms.
