He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Debora Webb, his son and daughter-in-law Brad and Kaoru Bracewell, daughter Sandy Dumouchelle, grandchildren, Ray, Cora and Alex as well as mother-in-law Freda Webb, sister and brother-in-law Nancy Webb and Bob Gray, niece Kathryn Webb-Orriss, numerous extended family (special cousin Sam Matthews) and dearest friends Nancy and Birk.
Terry was predeceased by his parents Ray and Kaye Bracewell and his sister Bonnie Berry, sister-in-law Rebecca Webb and father-in-law Bert Webb.
Terry was born in Nanaimo on April 15, 1947, and made Vancouver Island his home until a professional opportunity took him to Vancouver in 1989. He and Debora moved to Kelowna in 1991.
He worked for many years at Gray Beverage in Nanaimo and Vancouver in the Service Department and as a parts/inventory/warehouse manager for several Okanagan companies, ending his professional career at Campion Marine. He was a loyal, committed employee with an enviable work ethic.
Terry was also a generous, principled and compassionate person with a wicked sense of humour. He was stubborn yet flexible, focused yet easy going, single yet open minded, creative yet disciplined; everything you want or need in a husband, father and friend.
Terry’s illness over the past two years could have defined him but he was so much more than the disease. He was courageous, stoic in the face of multiple challenges, and ever ready with a humorous quip.
He did not want a memorial but those of us who love him encourage you to take a moment to smile or laugh at a memory and to tell the people close to you how much they mean to you.
The family would like to thank Dr. Taylor and Darryl Loch at the Cancer Clinic, Dr. Mentz, as well as Sheridan at Minor Trauma at KGH and the staff at Hospice House for their care and concern of Terry.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Pancreatic Cancer Fund of [email protected] --- would be gratefully accepted in memory of Terry
