Billie Lucille Evans was born on January 20, 1922 in Mexia, TX and entered into eternal rest on July 14, 2015. After graduating high school in Canton, Billie became a homemaker where she quilted and made her children’s clothing. She was a great cook especially at the Holidays with biscuits, pies and dressing. You could not go to her house without being asked to eat. Billie was a strong independent Christian woman who enjoyed being with friends and family, dancing and traveling. She kept her family close to her heart, especially her grandchildren who always called her “Nannie”. She was a member of Rylie Methodist Church, Kemp United Methodist Church and the V.F.W. in Seven Points. Billie was a caregiver to her family and friends and will be tremendously missed by all who knew her. Billie was preceded in death by her husband Richard Evans “RL”, father and mother-in-law: Herbert and Gusta Evans “Paw and Granny”, brother Marshall Main, Sarah Duck “Mother”, son Eldon “Bubba” Evans and aunt and uncle Hiram and Era Kinsey.
